This makes pan cornbread really good! Heat it up and grease before putting in the batter and you end up with corn bread, which is half the race and has a nice crisp crust. The little booklet that comes with the set has a few recipes that seem interesting, but I have not tried any, highly recommended.
This pan is called “Cornbread Festival” pan, but can be used for much more. Pies from the oven, the cooking of fish, pancakes and omelettes. My mother cast iron many years ago and I forgot how good it is. Cast Iron has quickly become my bread of choice, now I have a whole series.
I will never waste my money on non-stick pans again! I have aprox. 6 cast iron pans, and they were great. Lodge is a great name and I have always been satisfied with the quality. I find that I use this pan more than I thought. Works great for cornbread!
