Product Description
From KitchenAid’s Gourmet Essentials line comes this set of hard anodized aluminum cookware. Durable, elegantly finished in matte charcoal gray, and known for its exceptional heat distribution and retention properties, hard-anodized cookware is a very popular choice for the chef at home. KitchenAid embellishes these pots with stainless steel handles, riveted for strength and wrapped with comfortable, stay-cool silicone grips. The lids, made of break-resistant glass for optimum viewing, also feature silicone-wrapped handles, highly arched to enable easy grasping with a pot holder or oven mitt. Both the pans and lids are oven-safe up to 400 degrees F.
An excellent value, this 12-piece set composed of the most frequently used kitchen pots and pans and makes a great gift set. The two pans, size 8 and 10 inches in diameter, handle everyday frying and sautéing needs, from eggs-over-easy grilled cheese sandwiches to fish filets, then crepes for dessert. Three saucepans holding 1, 2 and 3 quarts you boil an egg, broth and slow cooking a risotto with porcini mushrooms. The 8 large quarts pot with two loop handles works admirably for family-sized batches of pasta, chili, soup, and corn-on-the-cob. Finally, the 12-inch covered skillet with helper handle tackles its generous quantities of fried chicken, braised, stir-fries, and poached salmon. Nonstick finish communicated food quickly and makes clean up by hand a snap. It ‘best to keep the nonstick cookware out of the dishwasher. KitchenAid covers the set with a one-year, hassle-free replacement warranty.–Ann Bieri
KitchenAid Gourmet Essentials 12-Piece Nonstick Hard-Anodized Cookware Set Review
I just received his set about a week ago. Not a long time to test it just yet but giving my review on the quality thus far. But first, let me say I ordered this set through Amazon on a Friday afternoon and received it Saturday morning! I was floored at how quickly it arrived…and with free shipping! Ok, so for the set. I am no regular cook but want to start so I did weeks and weeks of research before settling on this set. I wanted a set that had 12 pieces, clear lids and the covered handles and that could go in the over. I researched between stainless or hard anodized and it seemed the hard anodized was even stronger than stainless yet had the non-stick benefit. I opened the box and was leary of what the pans might feel like in my hand as I had never seen these in person. This is a super nice heavy set of cookware! I feel like a gourmet chef using them! They are very substantial and the hard anodized surface is all one piece inside, out, and bottom. Very quality stuff! I have only cooked with them once so far and was so impressed with the clean-up. Very easy, even easier than my old non-stick set. I highly recommend this set to the beginning or very experienced cooks!
