100% hands-free, foot-free operated, lidded waste disposal system. The built-in infrared sensor and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Smart-Chip knows when you need to open trash can, and do all the openings and closings for you without touching or step-on anything. No germs on the lid and no odor. Place hand or unwanted debris about 6 inches away from the infrared sensor near the lid. It will open instantly and will close automatically in 5-second after debris has been released and hand moves away. Lid will remain open if debris or hand is within the sensor range. There are two buttons on the front to open and close the lid manually and an on/off switch. Use 4 D sized batteries. We did a lot of research before we bought this trash can. Our labs were constantly getting into our old trash can, and we decided to buy something they couldn’t get into. The iTouchless trash can has certainly foiled the dogs, and it looks very nice in our kitchen. As with any stainless steel item, though, spills and fingerprints are more noticable, so we tend to wipe it down more than our old one. Also, if you pass the can at just the right angle, the lid will unintentionally go up. The ring inside the can is designed to hold the bag in place inside, keeping it hidden from view. While I love this feature, getting old/new bags in and out is a bit more work than with ordinary trash cans, but still worth it. It’s particularly nice when your hands are full and you don’t have to put anything down to open the lid (a useful feature when trimming raw chicken). All in all, a great purchase and totally worth the price.

I bought an iTouchless (13 gallon) trash can two months ago and I was very satisfied the way it works. My brothers, sisters and friends saw it and they all got a kick out of my trash can. I just wish it is much larger but 13 gallon would do. It is not small and it is not large. Just the right size for my kitchen.

I love this trash can. It is easy to clean, works exactly as advertised, doesn’t eat batteries, and looks really cool. It opens quickly, as soon as you get your hand over it. Works great free standing. Highly recommend…especially for those who are cooking in the kitchen and can toss rubbish without having to touch anything! This is the perfect trash can for family’s with small children.

I had a co-worker recommend this trash can and I am thrilled with it. I like to clean as I cook and this hands free can allows you to do that effortlessly. The liner holder is wonderful, it keeps the bag neatly tucked inside and you actually fill the bag to the top before it needs changing. It takes 13 gallon tall kitchen bags, I would recommend using higher quality as you fill them to the top and they need to be sturdy. I was worried that there would be a delay with the lid opening, but it is actually quicker than if you were using a step can. As for the pets, we have a lab and she has not yet been able to trigger it, it’s too tall. Why spend fifty to a hundred dollars for a step can when you can purchase this for around the same price?

The touchless stainless steel trash can is easy to use and is considerably germ free. However, I do not like the narrow opening (in which the lid’s germ free existence quickly disappears)and the 10 minutes it takes me to change the trash bag. But, after all is said and done, I would still recommend this item to anyone. It really compliments, and adds sophistication to, a kitchen’s stainless steel and black decor.
