Magic Bullet Express 17-Piece High-Speed Blender Mixing System Review
I have been using the Magic Bullet for about one week. It makes great iced frozen drinks. It is easy to clean. Make sure that you use small pieces of ice and whatever you want to chop or grate. The unit will bog down and stop if you jam too many things in it. All of the receipies in the book may have to be modified as you learn to use it. The juice attachment is just okay, but does not produce a lot of juice. Overall it is a nice unit for chopping, mixing, crushing, and grating. Remember, do not use big chunks of items or ice. If it locks up, just add more liquids or remove portions until it mixes a little. If it jams up for more than a few seconds, stop and check or the unit motor may get damaged. This is a great drink mix machine. It does a good job with frozen drinks. This would be perfect for a single person or a small family. For the $99.00 price I paid, it is not a bad deal for what you get. If you are buying it just for the juicer, I would buy an Omega brand juicer instead. I found it to work the best when mixing solid with liquid items. You are going to have to do a little experimenting to get your items right. I would say that this is great party mixer for small to medium portion items such as dips, finger foods, and for mixing drinks. It’s worth getting if you don’t have a mixer and food processor already. Easy to clean.
I saw the infomercial for this product and it looked like something very useful. I am limited on kitchen/countertop space and a blender is very bulky and a pain to use. Plus, I like smoothies and coffee drinks. It looked perfect for me. I read online reviews and there was about half negative and half positive. I was confused whether or not I should buy it. My local TV station did a consumer product test on it and they said it was a great product. After thinking about it, and finding the product at my local Walgreens store, I decided to “bite the bullet” and buy the bullet. Haha. I tried about 5 recipes from the booklet (after I read the ENTIRE instruction/recipe book) and I was very impressed with it. I think that the negative reviews are from those people who “do” first and read directions later. This is not a typical blender and should not be operated as one. I used the shake technique to get big pieces down to be mixed up and it worked fine. For all of you who are contemplating buying one, I recommend the purchase. If you are skeptical of purchasing from the manufacturer, then find a local store to buy from. It’s easier to return the product that way, but I don’t think you’ll need to return it.
My wife and I got sucked into the Magic Bullet hype after seeing the infommerials. I found one at Target for $60 and haven’t looked back. We’ve had it now for about two months and there is rarely a day that goes by that we aren’t using it for something. With two kids we’re constantly making smoothies and milkshakes. One problem that has developed is that frozen margaritas can be easily had anytime now! Another aspect of the Magic Bullet we really like is of course the convenience. It’s just too darn easy to throw something togeher and then toss the pieces into the dishwasher. And since it comes with four mugs and two blender cups (large and small), we can make at least 6 different beverages with very little fuss. The build quality seems ok for our household and how we’re using it. I hope our unit holds up better than what some others have experienced. Highly recommended.
This is easy and fun for making individual smoothies, iced coffees and other mixed drinks. Be prepared to shake it quite a bit while it’s running though. Good coffee bean grinder. And if you want to puree, it does well. I was hoping however it would replace my big food processor for chopping and it doesn’t do that well at all. Purees what’s on bottom and leaves what’s on top alone. I keep using mine, but don’t recommend it to others when they ask about it–I’m sure there are better products out there.
