Hey this American made pot is fairly sweet. I like to fry stuff in it. Much less mess on the range trigger of the high sides. Only con I can say is the preseason is. nicely make sure you fry in it for a whilst before you attempt to braise something. Any acidic slow cooking will end the preseason real fast. It is just not thick sufficient. but if you season it your self or fry in it no issues. Adore this pot one of my favorites. Oh and did I mention it is created in America.
I cannot say sufficient great things about this item! You will not be disappointed. The lid can double as a skillet which makes this item even more desirable.
I’ve been buying Lodge Cast Iron cookware for years and have always been more than satisfied. When I decided to buy a dutch oven I looked at the enameled five quart but the poor reviews and also the reality it was created in China sent me to the logic 5 quart. I like the fact that it is pre-seasoned but I did oven season it before use. The first meal in the new pot was a Chicken and Sausage Gumbo after which I knew I’d made a great purchase, Stick with Lodge and American Cast Iron!
