I was in a position to bend the legs into location, but if it wasn’t so sturdy, it wouldn’t have worked. I’m sure it will be okay, but did not feel it was correct to give it a 5 Star rating.

I got this for my kitchen cabinet below the oven, exactly where all my bakeware lives. I decided to try the ice cubes, it took it down to a fine powder snow in no time. will definitely make the best frozen margaritas in town. I also mixed raw oats and nuts in a meal to be used for cooking, took literally seconds to grind down to a good meal. My only hiccup was the blending of tomatoes that I cut into large pieces and a separate issue with the whole frozen strawberries. The point is, you can not mix all that causes large pockets of air, because the blades have nothing to cling to. Or add a little ‘liquid or make sure that the pieces are smaller.

I just received my DFP-14 and love it. I used to have a hand-me-down no-name food processor that died last year. I had missed a new processor, but did not want to spend the money for the new model Cuisinart. When I saw the price on this, I ordered immediately. I already used 4 times this week, from hummus to pizza to a huge batch of homemade bread. Incredible. And dishwasher safe. This huge workbowl can handle anything. Several members of the family are different brands of food processing, but I have noticed that those with Cuisinarts still use them years later, and that works well as they did on the first day. I’d never use another brand. An incredible bargain on one of the best products on the market.

I read the reviews listed here before I purchased my Cuisinart 14-cup food processor from Amazon. Since I received my processor, I can say that I have had similar experiences, like many others have. Yes, it is aggravating that you must leave the pusher assembly in place while running, that to remove it to add additional ingredients. Yes, it is very aggravating to wash the disks broken, especially after shredding mozzerella cheese. It took me almost ten minutes to dig up all the little rubber pieces of cheese from the recesses. But it is powerful. Nothing BOGG this thing down. It works like a breeze. I love the big bowl and shooting large feed. I made my decision to buy based on the size and watts. Mine is also very much, which surprised me. It looks beautiful and massive sitting on the bench. Yes, you want to leave out. It ‘very heavy. But from now on, I’m going to stick knives in the dishwasher.

The Peeler works great! Just make sure the apples are round. Forget potatoes. Peel a about 3 apples. mix a couple oatmeal packets with a couple tablespoons of butter and put it on top. Bake at 350 for 30 min.

This makes quick work of peeling,coring,and slicing apples for pie,etc.,but I tried to peel a Russet potato and it didn’t work well at all.I decided to buy one for my sister and found the price jumped $7.00 by Amazon between the end of Nov. and the first week in Dec. Why the big (35%) increase right before Christmas?

I originally purchased this same apple slicer peeler from Lechter’s before they went out of business. I’ve never replaced it because I haven’t been able to find another that has the suction to the counter (the Pampered Chef equivalent has to be attached to the counter or something similar with a crank). Like I said, I’ve had it for about 10 years and it’s held up well. The only reason that I’m replacing it is because it’s just started to rust and I’m having a hard time cleaning it up. Other than that, it works perfectly. It even comes with a replacement blade (that I never used). I love it and plan on getting another.

This item is wonderful for baking. Nothing seems to stick to it. Easy to clean and store. Transaction was smooth. The only problem I had was one of the items had a small hole in it and this item can not be used with any kind of hole in it. I have not tried returning it yet becuase I am not sure how to do that.

I purchased a Silpat mat and it is a fabulous item. Cookies come off easily: no more burned bottoms or overly crispy edges. There is an image left behind on the sheet where cookies were last baked, but it doesn’t affect the performance of the sheet. The sheet can produce some smoking from the oven temperature, but it wasn’t a problem. I saw a similar product at my local grocery store: same size sheet but red in color (those sheets were $4.00 a piece, so it might be worth considering). I baked 4 different cookie recipes using this mat and all were the best batches I’d ever made.

I don’t know how they work, but they do and they’re wonderful! Nothing sticks to them and cleaning the pan after baking is a breeze. Like using parchment paper, only better. Perfect for candy making, as again, nothing sticks. You want proof? Watch the cooking programs on TV – the chefs use them extensively for preparation and cooking.

I love using Silpat for my baking needs. Everything I place on it slides off without a problem. My only complaint is that the both sides of my Silpat will not lie down. They curl up in the air as if they are trying to encapsulate whatever is on the baking sheet. I have tried sandwiching this sheet between two cookie sheets and various other methods attempting to get it to lie down. Nothing has worked. I am trying to roll it up backwards and leave it bound by rubber bands for two months or so. I have some other Matfer baking sheets I am using for the time being.

The OXO Steel 58081 can opener is simply the best. It opens cans of all sizes with incredible ease, and is very gentle on my hands. I have arthritis, and many can openers are downright painful to use. This one is far and away the very best I’ve ever tried. I purchased it to replace an old Swingline, because everyone should have a manual can opener for when the power fails, but I’ve found it to be so good that the electric can opener is unnecessary.

I would highly recommend that everyone buy this can opener! I have been married 28 years and we still have our original Swingback can opener – but it is starting to show its age. I wanted one that would be easier on our wrists since we are getting older and this one is incredible!! Super comfortable to use and sharp – PLUS dishwasher safe. The best of the best! I’d bought 3 can-openers in less than 2 months, paying a little more each time but throwing them all in the trash while they were still shiny clean but not working properly. I’m a firm believer in manual anything over electric but was about to give up until getting this OXO opener. It’s still fairly new, so I don’t know about long term use, but at least for a few months now it works smoothly, cuts evenly, takes very little effort and is my opener of choice.
